Mooove over Factory Farms! Part One
Updated: Sep 9
There's a Kinder, better way to treat livestock and it's called regenerative farming.
On my most recent mission in search of the Humane treatment of animals, I went to White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Georgia.
This 5'th generation farm operates on two principles, respect for animals and respect for the land they graze.
About twenty-five cows a day at White Oak Pastures are humanely slaughtered through the system designed by animal welfare expert, Temple Grandin. Every part of these cows is given back to the earth at White Oak Pastures, or used in their No-Waste Workshop as seen in our video. For example, aside from meat for human consumption, White Oak Pastures makes leather goods (right down to the tiniest things like napkin rings and hair-bows), tallow candles, soap, lip balm, lotion, and the list goes on. It's a fine-tuned system that boasts a negative carbon emission on planet earth.
Become an educated consumer and buy meat that is raised with kindness and respect from start to finish. The way farming was meant to be. White Oak Pastures.
